EKSU Begins Admission into Diploma and Advanced Diploma Programmes for 2025/2026 Session

The Centre for Foundation Programmes (CFFP) of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has announced the commencement of admissions into its Diploma and Advanced Diploma Programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

According to a statement signed by Ife Oluwole, FNIM, Registrar, the programmes are open to qualified candidates with a minimum of four (4) credit passes in relevant subjects at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Purpose and Duration

The Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes, which run for two academic sessions, are structured to accommodate the following categories of candidates:

• School leavers seeking to obtain a Diploma as a pathway to a University Degree.
• Working professionals interested in acquiring additional academic qualifications while maintaining employment.
• Mature candidates wishing to enhance their academic credentials with a recognized university certificate.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have at least four credit passes in relevant subjects (in not more than two sittings) to qualify for admission into the Diploma programme. Those seeking admission into the Advanced Diploma must already hold a Diploma or equivalent certificate in related disciplines.

Available Programmes

Admissions are available into various faculties and departments, including but not limited to:

• Agriculture: Agricultural Economics & Extension Service, Animal Production & Health Sciences, Crop & Environmental Science, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Forest Resources and Wildlife.
• Management Sciences: Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Purchasing and Supply Management, and Transportation Management.
• Social Sciences: Sociology, Criminology & Penology, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations, Geography & Planning Science, Psychology, and Local Government Studies.
• Communication and Media Studies: Mass Communication, Public Relations, Gender and Media Studies.
• Science and Technology: Computer Science, Science and Laboratory Technology (SLT), Environmental Management.
• Tourism and Hospitality: Tourism and Hospitality Management.
• Law: Diploma in Law.
• Medicine: Diploma in Nursing Studies.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are to visit the university’s admission portal at eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng and click on “DIPLOMA” to make online payment, fill out, and submit their application form. Applicants are required to log in with their email address and password for the payment and data upload process.
