Facts About KU8+ Consortium of Universities in Kwara State

The KU8+ Consortium is a collaboration of eight institutions of higher technical and practical learning in Kwara State, Nigeria. These universities share a vision to become global models for other educational institutions.

KU8 was formed on January 11, 2023, at the University of Ilorin, where the maiden conference was held. The second conference titled Shaping Sustainable Future: Connecting Universities and Industries through Joint Initiatives, was held at Al-Hikmah Univerisity, Ilorin, on August 9, 2024.

The Consortium is coordinated by the The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole SAN, and other distinguished members.

The KU8+ aims to strengthen the link between academia and industry through such collaborative efforts, their commitment to local relevance alongside global impact makes the collaboration worthy of emulation. The collective brilliance of KU8 members converges to shape the future of universities in the 21st century.
