Kano State Police Command Celebrates National Police Day with School Outreach Program

As part of its National Police Day celebrations, the Kano State Police Command organized a school outreach program at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano, on April 4, 2025. The event aimed to promote safety awareness and crime prevention strategies among students.
The program featured two presentations: "Safety of Students at Campus and Off Campus" by ACP Mannir Madugu and "Students and Crime" by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Public Relations Officer of the Command. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, university management, and students.
Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, expressed his appreciation to the university management and students for their participation and enthusiasm. The Command will continue its National Police Day celebrations with a Free Medical Service Outreach and a Football Match between Police Team and Kano Facebook Connect Team on April 5, 2025, at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.
The celebrations will conclude with Public Enlightenment Programs on April 6, 2025. This initiative is part of the Inspector-General of Police's directives on safe schools initiatives, promoting community policing and partnership building.
