Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum Hosts Yobe Youth Forum and Scout Parade
The Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum, hosted the 1st Yobe State Youth Forum and 2nd Potiskum Scout Parade, Awards Presentation, and Inter-Schools Competition at the Olusegun Obasanjo Square.
The Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum, Yobe State, came alive earlier today as it played host to the 1st Yobe State Youth Forum and the 2nd Potiskum Scout Parade, Awards Presentation, and Inter-Schools Competition. The event, held at the iconic Olusegun Obasanjo Square within the institution, attracted dignitaries, youth leaders, and students from across the state.
Gracing the occasion as the Special Guest of Honor was Comrade Ibrahim Usman Maga, National Grand Commander of the Young Shall Grow Youth Support Scheme (NGCYSS), Central National Scout (CNS), and the Executive Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (NANS JCC), Yobe State Axis.
In his remarks, Comrade Maga praised the organizers for creating a platform to celebrate youth excellence, foster community service, and promote education through inter-school competitions. He also highlighted the significance of the forum and parade in cultivating leadership, discipline, and patriotism among the state’s youth.
The event featured a blend of activities, including an inter-schools competition that showcased academic and creative talents, a scout parade demonstrating discipline and teamwork, and an awards presentation to honor individuals and groups for their contributions to youth development in Yobe State.
Addressing the participants, the Executive Secretary of the National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS), National Headquarters, commended the collaborative spirit and determination of the youth to build a brighter future for their communities.
The program concluded with a resounding call for increased investment in youth-oriented initiatives to harness the potential of young people as drivers of development in Yobe State and Nigeria at large.
