LASU Vice-Chancellor Celebrates with Muslim Faithfuls on Eid ul-Fitri
The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has extended her Eid ul-Fitri greetings to the university’s Muslim community.

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim staff and students of the university on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitri.
In a message addressed to the university community, Professor Olatunji-Bello expressed her joy and appreciation to Almighty Allah for seeing the Muslim faithful through the 30 days of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. She described Eid ul-Fitri as a time of gratitude, togetherness, and spiritual renewal, emphasizing the significance of love, peace, kindness, and compassion in daily life.
The Vice-Chancellor encouraged members of the LASU community to sustain the values and principles of Ramadan and integrate them into their daily activities. She highlighted the importance of unity, mutual respect, and inclusivity in fostering a thriving academic environment where every individual’s voice is valued.
"I urge us to use the occasion of this celebration to rededicate ourselves to Almighty Allah, sustain the principles of the holy month of Ramadan, and make the lessons drawn from the period a permanent part of our lives," she stated.
Furthermore, she called on the LASU community to renew their collective commitment to the university’s development, innovation, and progress, ensuring that the institution remains a center of excellence in education and research.
