UNIPORT Announces Collection of Students’ ID Cards, Warns Against Unauthorised Charges
The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced that students’ University Identification (ID) Cards are now ready for collection at Wing C of the New Convocation Arena.
The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced that students’ University Identification (ID) Cards are now ready for collection at Wing C of the New Convocation Arena.
The University directed students to collect their ID cards personally, stressing that the cards should not be collected through their respective departments or faculties.
Management also warned departments and faculties against collecting money from students under the guise of processing or obtaining University ID cards. Any unit found engaging in such practice has been directed to refund the money immediately and may face appropriate disciplinary action.

The University further reminded students that the official University ID Card is compulsory. It will be required for identification during examinations and for access to and identification within the University premises.
Meanwhile, the University clarified that charges for Departmental, Faculty, Association or Ethnic ID Cards must not exceed ₦1,000.
All students are therefore advised to comply with the directive and ensure that they collect their University ID Cards personally.
