Federal Polytechnic Ayede has dismissed a circulating recruitment advertisement purportedly linked to the institution, describing it as false, misleading, and unauthorized.
In a statement issued by the Acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations, the institution clarified that it had no involvement in a publication titled “Submission of Curriculum Vitae (CVs) for Employment Opportunities in Federal Establishments – Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State.”
The management noted that the fake notice reportedly invited applicants for lecturer positions and directed submissions to a purported Council Secretariat in Igando-Oloja, Ibeju-Lekki, alongside a listed phone number. It firmly distanced the institution from the advertisement, stating that neither the address, contacts, nor individuals mentioned have any affiliation with the polytechnic.

According to the statement, the institution stressed that all official recruitment processes and communications are conducted strictly through verified and approved channels, warning that any contrary information should be disregarded in its entirety.
The polytechnic further described the publication as a fraudulent attempt to exploit unsuspecting members of the public, urging job seekers not to submit personal documents or make any payments in response to the fake notice.
It also warned that individuals who engage with the advertisement do so at their own risk, reinforcing its zero tolerance for misinformation and fraudulent activity linked to its name.
The management reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, due process, and institutional integrity, while urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious communications claiming affiliation with the institution.
