Federal Polytechnic Bali Mourns the Loss of Rector's Mother

The Federal Polytechnic Bali community is mourning the passing of Hajia Halimah Usman, mother of the Rector, Dr. Mohammed Usman. Hajia Halimah Usman, a virtuous woman known for her positive impact on many lives, passed away last Wednesday in her matrimonial home in Gwoza, Borno State, after a prolonged illness.

 

A condolence visit was paid to the Rector's family by the Management and Academic Board of the polytechnic, led by Deputy Rector, Engr. Sani Isa Abubakar. The delegation conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the Rector and his family, acknowledging the significant loss not only to the family but also to the entire Gwoza community and the polytechnic.

The Acting Registrar, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Baba, praised Hajia Halimah as a nurturing and mentoring figure who made notable contributions to humanity and socio-economic development. Dr. Mohammed Usman expressed his gratitude to the delegation and the polytechnic community for their support and prayers during this difficult time.

Hajia Halimah Usman is survived by nine children, with Dr. Mohammed Usman as her eldest son. Despite security challenges, sympathizers have continued to visit the family, offering prayers for Allah's infinite mercy and eternal reward.
