Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Management Visits Bereaved Families, Injured Students After Fatal Road Accident in Jos

The management of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has paid condolence visits to the families of two Mass Communication students, Late Miss Hope and Late Miss Gift, who lost their lives in a tragic road accident last week. The management also visited the two students who survived the accident and are currently receiving treatment.

The delegation was led by the Dean of Student Affairs. The first visit was to the family of Late Miss Hope, where the team was received by her father and mother. The Dean conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the Rector, Management, Governing Council, staff, students, and the entire Polytechnic community. He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and presented an official letter of condolence to the family.

The delegation also visited the residence of Madam Naomi, the aunt of Late Miss Gift, to sympathize with the family. During the visit, prayers were offered, and the management's letter of condolence was presented on behalf of the Polytechnic community. Madam Naomi, who is an alumna of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, thanked the management for the visit. She said the gesture showed that the institution truly cares for its students and appreciated the positive impact the Polytechnic has had on her life.

After the condolence visits, the delegation proceeded to Jos University Teaching Hospital to visit the two students who are receiving treatment. Although photographs were not taken due to hospital and security guidelines, the delegation met with the students, wished them a quick recovery, and offered prayers for their healing.

Members of the delegation included the representative of the Dean, School of General Studies, who is the former Head of the Department of Mass Communication and the current Deputy Director of Career Services, the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, the Class Adviser of the late students, the Staff Adviser of MACOSA, the President of the Students' Union Government (SUG) and his team, the President of MACOSA and his team, and the President of the Mass Communication Christian Fellowship with members of the fellowship. During the visit, the Fellowship President led special prayers for the repose of the deceased students and the speedy recovery of those receiving treatment.
