Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Appoints Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello as New Rector

Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello has been appointed as the new Rector of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, following approval from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated February 4, 2024 .

Dr. Bello, a native of Adamawa State, brings over two decades of experience to his new role. He holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS and has held various positions, including Head of Department, Environmental Science, and Director Academic Planning, during his time at Kaduna Polytechnic .

As a Fellow of the Nigerian Environmental Science (FNES) and other professional bodies, Dr. Bello possesses a wealth of experience and expertise. He has also authored numerous publications, further solidifying his credentials .

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has congratulated Dr. Bello on his appointment, acknowledging his wealth of experience and expertise . His tenure as Rector is expected to bring stability and leadership to the institution.
