Federal University Birnin Kebbi to Host Seminar on Public Health Issues
The first speaker, Professor Balarabe Adamu Isa from the Department of Community Medicine at Usmanu Danfodiyo Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, will discuss "Cholera Outbreak and Control in Nigeria: The Role of Environmental Sanitation and Climate Change."
Federal University Birnin Kebbi will hold a seminar series on September 26, 2024, addressing critical public health topics. The event will take place at the SLH2 Lecture Theatre on the main campus, starting at 11:00 AM.
The first speaker, Professor Balarabe Adamu Isa from the Department of Community Medicine at Usmanu Danfodiyo Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, will discuss "Cholera Outbreak and Control in Nigeria: The Role of Environmental Sanitation and Climate Change."
The second speaker, Dr. Tuko Tari Moses, Head of Infectious Diseases and Nephrology at the Federal Teaching Hospital Birnin Kebbi, will present on "The Trend of Monkeypox Viral Infection and Control Strategies."
Dr. Jafar Mohammed Augie, Executive Secretary of the Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, will chair the seminar, hosted by Professor Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, Vice Chancellor of the university.
