Federal University Lokoja College of Postgraduate Studies to Host Inaugural National Conference

The College of Postgraduate Studies (CoPGS) at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) is set to host its first National Conference, themed “Climate Change, Intersectionality, and Education for Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities for Nigeria.”

Federal University Lokoja College of Postgraduate Studies to Host Inaugural National Conference

The College of Postgraduate Studies (CoPGS) at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) is set to host its first National Conference, themed “Climate Change, Intersectionality, and Education for Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities for Nigeria.”

The conference is scheduled for Tuesday, 13th January 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m., and will be held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Felele Campus, Lokoja.

The event will feature Professor James Kayode Aremo of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna as the Keynote Speaker, while Professor John Gambo Laar from the Department of Geography, Kaduna State University, will deliver the lead paper.

A special roundtable session will honour Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, Vice-Chancellor of FUL, under the theme:
“Education and Sustainable National Development in Nigeria: Professor Olayemi Akinwumi’s Footprints on the Sands of Time in Federal University Lokoja.”
