Federal University of Technology, Minna Receives NUC Approval for Seven New Programmes
The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has announced that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the establishment of seven new undergraduate programmes.
The approved programmes, which will be offered in the full-time mode, include:
1. B. Tech. Industrial Mathematics
2. B.Tech. Software Engineering
3. B.Tech. Meteorology
4. B.Tech. Data Science
5. B.Tech. Forensic Science
6. B.Tech. Public Health
7. B.Tech. Forestry and Wildlife Technology
The approval takes effect from the 2024/2025 academic session and is limited to the full-time mode of delivery. The NUC has stipulated that any changes to the programme titles or nomenclature will require further approval.
The university has been advised to provide adequate human and material resources to support the development and growth of the approved programmes.
This expansion of academic offerings is expected to enhance the university's reputation and provide students with a wider range of study options.
