The Federal University Teaching Hospital Lafia is set to commence operations in Nasarawa State, following its conversion from the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH). This initiative, approved by President Bola Tinubu, aims to boost both healthcare services and medical education in the region.

During a recent meeting with the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage, Minister of Health and Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, confirmed the federal government's commitment to establishing the teaching hospital as a reality. He emphasized that the facility will enhance the training of medical students and improve healthcare delivery across the state.
