Dr. David Binta Oloyede has been elected as the inaugural Dean of the School of Communication and Media Studies at The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State.

Dr. David Binta Oloyede has been appointed as the Pioneer Dean of the newly established School of Communication and Media Studies (SCMS) at The Federal Polytechnic, Offa. Dr. Oloyede was elected unopposed in an election held today within the Mass Communication Department, with 30 out of 31 votes cast in his favor. The single vote was declared void.

The announcement was made by the outgoing Dean of the School of Communication and Information Technology, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwakemi Omoniyi Ogungbamigbe. As the new Dean, Dr. Oloyede will oversee several key departments, including Mass Communication, Media Studies and Journalism, Media Studies and Strategic Communication, and a new department yet to commence operations.

Dr. Oloyede, who has a distinguished background in communication and media studies, previously served as the Head of the Mass Communication Department at both The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, and Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, during his sabbatical. His extensive experience includes roles as Postgraduate Coordinator at Adeleke University, adjunct lecturer at Thomas Adewumi University, Redeemers University, Summit University, and former Principal Private Secretary to the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Okikiola, Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I.
