FUE Zaria Announces Festive Holidays; Academic Activities to Resume January 5

The Management of the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUE Zaria), has formally announced the observance of the 2025 Christmas, Boxing Day, and 2026 New Year public holidays. 

In a special bulletin released by the University, the institution confirmed that in line with the Federal Government's declaration, Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day), Friday, December 26 (Boxing Day), and Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day), will be observed as public holidays. 

The University will be closed during this period, with an exception for staff on essential duties who are required to maintain skeletal operations. 

The bulletin further clarified that all academic and administrative activities are scheduled to resume in full on Monday, January 5, 2026. 

In his festive message, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure, extended his best wishes to the University community. He urged staff and students to utilize the holiday period to offer prayers for the continued progress of the institution, Kaduna State, and the nation at large.
