FUKASHERE Students Laud Red Cross for Campus Sanitation Campaign

The Climate Students Movement Nigeria (CSMN), Federal University of Kashere (FUK) Chapter, has commended the Red Cross FUK Detachment for organizing a successful campus-wide environmental sanitation and awareness campaign.

 

The event, held on February 8, 2025, brought together students, executives, and volunteers to clean key areas of the university campus, including the DLC Complex, Convocation Arena, School Clinic, and student hostels.

Led by Comrade Adebayo Samuel Oluwakayode, President of the Red Cross FUK Chapter, and supported by CSMN President Comrade Almushin Abdullahi Saleh, the campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment within the university.

 

Participants emphasized the proper use of designated waste bins, waste segregation, and the need to report improper disposal. The initiative demonstrated the impact of collective action on environmental sustainability.

Comrade Saleh praised the collaborative effort, saying, "We appreciate the dedication of all participants and look forward to further collaborations with the Red Cross Society and other campus organizations."

 

The CSMN, FUK Chapter, reiterated its commitment to fostering environmental consciousness and sustainable practices within the university community, encouraging students to become environmental advocates and take proactive steps to ensure a cleaner and greener campus.
