FUL Vice-Chancellor Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi Receives Distinguished Fellowship Award from APPON
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, has been honoured with a Distinguished Fellowship Award by the Association of Philosophy Professionals of Nigeria (APPON).
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, has been inducted as a Fellow of the Association of Philosophy Professionals of Nigeria (APPON) in recognition of his significant contributions to the academic and philosophical fields in Nigeria. The honour was bestowed upon him at an investiture ceremony held on 4th October 2024 at the Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The event, which celebrated distinguished scholars and leaders from various academic institutions, saw Professor Akinwumi acknowledged for his exemplary leadership and impact on higher education in Nigeria. In his address, APPON’s National President, Dr. Alloy S. Ihuah, praised Professor Akinwumi for his role in promoting philosophical inquiry and enhancing the quality of academic programs across the country.
