 The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has held its first energy transition research symposium, themed "Unlocking Nigeria's Energy Potential through Policy and Innovation."

The event, organized by the Centre for Energy Studies, aimed to foster collaboration among academia, industry, and government to address the country's energy crises.

Director of the Centre for Energy Studies, Professor Emmanuel Kwon-Ndung, noted that Nigeria's abundant natural resources and energy potential require visionary policies, innovative technologies, and collaborative efforts to harness.

The symposium featured a keynote address by Emeritus Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, Vice President of the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS), and discussions by experts from the Energy Commission of Nigeria, COREN, Fonbol Energy Services, and Greenville LNG.
