FULafia Registrar, Abdu, represents vice-chancellor at burial of late dean, Prof. Alhassan Usman

The Registrar of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Malam Nuradeen Abdu, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, attended the funeral prayer of the late Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Alhassan Usman, who passed away on September 30, 2025, after a prolonged illness.

The prayer, held in Lafia, drew a large gathering of colleagues, friends, and associates who came to pay their last respects. Among those present were Prof. F.A. Ajayi, Prof. Emmanuel Kwon-Ndung, Prof. M.O. Aremu, Prof. Sama’ila Usman Dakyes, Prof. Muhammad Tanko Aliyu, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, Dr. Usman Ibrahim, Dr. Idris M. Muhammad, Dr. Musa Bashir Agbawu, Dr. Bashir Ozomata, and the former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe, among others.

In a related show of condolence, Malam Abdu also conveyed the University Management’s sympathy to Idris Jibrin of the ICT Directorate, FULafia, over the recent loss of his wife. He further visited Abba Muhammed Abubakar of the Registry Department, attached to the Muhammadu Buhari TETFund Centre of Excellence (MBTCE), who recently lost his mother.
