FULokoja Receives Multi-million Naira Medical Equipment Donated by VC's Canadian Friends

Some friends of the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi in Canada have keyed into his developmental program by donating multi-million naira medical equipment to the University.

The shipment which contained some assorted books was received at FUL College of Health Sciences, Adankolo.

Filled with joy, the Vice-Chancellor, while receiving the equipment alongside the two Deputy Vice-Chancellors, the acting Registrar, and the Chief Security Officer, expressed profound gratitude to the donors. He noted that while the equipment was free, the University only paid for the shipping and clearing.

In a remark after inspecting the equipment, the Director of the University Health Services, Dr. Chinenye Oche Otorkpa, stated that the medical equipment was enough to start a new hospital.

This gesture, no doubt, would complement the Vice-Chancellor’s efforts aimed at ensuring that the medical program established by his administration gets the needed support and funding in fulfilling its obligations and in preparation for its accreditation, which will be conducted in the not-too-distant future.
