FUL Vice-Chancellor Unveils ‘FUL Voice,’ Charges DSCCD to Sustain Global Visibility
The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja, Professor Gbenga Ibileye, on Monday, April 20, 2026, formally unveiled the maiden edition of FUL Voice, the University’s official monthly publication, describing it as a timely and strategic step toward strengthening institutional communication and global visibility.
Speaking at the presentation by the Directorate of Strategic Communication and Corporate Documentation, DSCCD, Professor Ibileye expressed satisfaction with the initiative and commended the Directorate for justifying the confidence reposed in it at inception. He recalled that their appointments were widely applauded, noting that the performance of the Directorate has justified that public confidence.
The Vice Chancellor further revealed that during a recent engagement in Egypt, the University received commendations for its activities and growing visibility, adding that the positive feedback recorded in recent weeks signals both progress and the need for sustained effort.

He emphasized that the University must remain deliberate in building strong institutional capacity, urging the Directorate to remain innovative, creative, and adaptive in its approach.
While expressing appreciation for the maiden edition, Professor Ibileye stressed that the publication must be sustained as a monthly output and not treated as a one-off effort. He assured that Management would consider strengthening the Directorate with additional manpower to ensure diversity and richness in content.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director of DSCCD, Dr. Tosin Olagunju, said the publication represents the birth of a vital institutional voice that will inform, document, and project the identity and achievements of the University.
