The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), celebrated its Part-Time Degree Programme (PTDP) Matriculation Ceremony on August 16, 2024. 

The event, held at the Postgraduate School Auditorium, welcomed 168 new students to the University for the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

In his address to the matriculants, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, Vice-Chancellor (represented by Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic), congratulated the students and emphasized the University's commitment to excellence. He urged them to focus on their studies, exhibit good behavior, and avoid any actions that could hinder their success.

The Vice-Chancellor encouraged students to utilize University facilities, including the Library, Internet, and Health Center, to ensure academic success and overall well-being. During the orientation, other University officials, such as Prof. Olajide Sogunle (Director, Academic Planning), represented by Prof. Segun Oladoye, and representatives from various regulatory units, provided guidance and advice to the new students.

Dr. Enovwo Odjegba, Coordinator of PTDP, stressed the importance of adhering to FUNAAB's guiding principles, emphasizing the institution's reputation for excellence and hard work. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu (Ag. Registrar), Deans of Colleges, and other distinguished guests.

The matriculation marks the official entry of these students into the FUNAAB community, where they will embark on their educational journey with determination and purpose.
