FUNAAB Provost Professor Olufemi Fatade Awarded Fellowship by Mathematical Association of Nigeria

Professor Olufemi Fatade, the Provost of the Postgraduate College at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been honored with a Fellowship from the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN).

Professor Olufemi Fatade, the Provost of the Postgraduate College at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been honored with a Fellowship from the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN). The award ceremony took place at the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) headquarters in Kaduna State, drawing the presence of esteemed scholars in the field of mathematics.

The leadership of MAN presented the award to recognize Professor Fatade's exceptional contributions to the field of mathematics and his commitment to advancing the quality of mathematics education. The association also encouraged its members to strive for excellence and reaffirmed its dedication to inspiring young Nigerians to cultivate an interest in mathematics and achieve functional literacy.

Professor Fatade, a prominent mathematician, has had a distinguished career, including roles as the Rector of D.S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic in Itori, Ogun State, and the former Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED).

In response to the award, the Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Professor Oluwole Banjo, praised Professor Fatade, calling him "an erudite scholar and a computer guru." He commended Professor Fatade for his continued excellent work, which brings honor to the university and advances the field of mathematics.
