FUNAAB to Host 94th Inaugural Lecture on Afrocentric Perspectives in Family Well-Being

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to hold its 94th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building. The lecture, titled "Afrocentric and Gendered-Constructions of Psychological Well-Being in Families: The Sojourn of a Gender Scholar," will be delivered by Professor Grace Oluseyi Sokoya from the Department of Home Science and Management, College of Food Sciences and Human Ecology (COLFHEC).

Professor Sokoya, a distinguished expert in Gender and Family Studies, will present strategies for improving psychological well-being within families, drawing from an Afrocentric and gendered perspective. Her research offers a fresh lens on family dynamics and psychological health, grounded in African cultural contexts.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, will preside over the event as the Chief Host.
