BOUESTI Secures Full Accreditation for 42 Degree Programmes in Latest NUC Assessment

This accomplishment underscores the university’s commitment to upholding high academic standards and delivering top-quality education.
In a letter dated 4th October 2024, the NUC confirmed the full accreditation of key programmes, including B.Sc Accounting, B.Sc Business Administration, B.Sc Entrepreneurship, B.Sc Economics, B.Sc Political Science, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Physics with Electronics, B.A Theatre Arts, B.A Music, and B.Sc Mass Communication, among others. These accreditations are a crucial indicator of the university’s consistent efforts to meet NUC’s stringent quality assurance standards.
Three additional programmes—B.Sc Criminology and Security Studies, B.Sc (Ed.) Environmental Education, and B.Sc (Ed.) Agricultural Science Education—received interim accreditation, signaling the need for further improvements to attain full status in future assessments.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Olufemi Adeoluwa expressed his satisfaction with the results, applauding the efforts of the Ekiti State Government, the Governing Council, and university staff. “This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff and students. We are committed to continuously improving our academic programmes to meet and exceed the standards set by the NUC,” he stated.
The NUC’s periodic accreditation process evaluates university programmes based on key criteria, including curriculum, staffing, infrastructure, and funding. With BOUESTI’s successful performance, the university has strengthened its standing as a leading institution in Nigeria, enhancing its reputation both nationally and internationally.
