As the 2025/2026 academic session begins, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced the commencement of medical screening for all newly admitted students on Monday, October 6, 2025.
According to the Union, the exercise will take place simultaneously at the University Clinics on both Oye and Ikole campuses. Fresh students are advised to come prepared and eat well, as the process may be physically demanding.
The SUG, under The Better Days Cabinet, assured all freshers of full support throughout their transition from aspirants to students. The Union emphasized that it has put structures in place to assist students with accommodation, registration, medical screening, and protection against extortion or exploitation — financially or otherwise.

Students are encouraged to report any case of extortion or breach of protocol to the SUG team present at the screening venues.
In a related development, the Office of the General Secretary has announced that subsidized printing services will be made available to all new students on both campuses, with further details to be communicated soon.
The statement concluded with a warm congratulatory message “Congratulations once again — you’re now a FUOYEite, and we are here to ensure a better campus life for you!”
