The Maiden edition of the "Career Clarity Session with Dr. B.M. Macaulay" will hold on the 24th March, 2023 at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
This physical programme was created by Babajide Milton Macaulay, Ph.D. (a Lecturer in the Department of Biology, FUTA and a two-time Founder of Edutech startups) in response to the urgent need for university graduates to gain relevant knowledge on workplace readiness,
financial intelligence and entrepreneurial intuition.
Having spent the last 12 years painstakingly ordering my career path by creating a nice balance between academia and entrepreneurship, I consider myself competent and experienced enough to hold a session of this nature.
This Maiden edition is designed specifically for Final year students of the School of Life Sciences, FUTA (comprising 4 Departments: Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Microbiology) who feel they are in a crossroad and need some clarity as they wrap up their undergraduate programmes. However, other Final year students of FUTA who are interested in joining the session are free to do so.
Why should you attend the 2-hour programme?
1. Reveal the fundamental requirements to note if seeking paid employment, furthering studies to Masters/PhD level abroad or starting a business.
2. Emphasize work readiness tips for fresh graduates from the Life Sciences.
3. Address those who intend to pivot to new career paths (e.g. from Biochemistry to Product Management).
4. Cite practical examples with relatable case studies, rather than the use of a boring theoretical approach.
5. Accommodate a 30-minute Question and Answer session where all career concerns will be fully addressed.
6. Provide a unique opportunity to book a FREE one-on-one session with Dr. B.M. Macaulay if a subsequent private meeting is needed.
