FUTA Vice Chancellor Urges Support for University Development

Professor Adenike Oladiji, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in Ondo State, has issued a call to individuals and corporate entities to contribute to the institution's progress. This appeal came during the 32nd convocation ceremony held on the university campus.
Acknowledging the achievements made through donations and grants, Professor Oladiji emphasized the ongoing need for substantial support to realize the university's ambitious vision. She outlined various areas where assistance is required, including the endowment of professorial chairs, donation of laboratory equipment, and the provision of doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships.

The Vice Chancellor also sought aid in the establishment of modern lecture halls and laboratories, the institution of prizes for outstanding students and staff, and the provision of student hostels and buses for field trips. She highlighted the university's accreditation success, with 26 out of 27 academic programs fully accredited, while the remaining one holds interim accreditation.
The convocation ceremony saw the awarding of degrees to 5,297 students, emphasizing FUTA's commitment to academic excellence. Professor Oladiji's call for support reflects the university's determination to enhance its facilities and educational offerings.
