The city of Lagos is set to welcome the 11th All Africa University Games, which will run from September 20 to 29, 2024. Co-hosted by Lagos State University (LASU) and the University of Lagos (UNILAG), the event promises to be a grand celebration of African university sports.
Athletes from across the continent will compete in a wide array of sports, including basketball, volleyball, football, handball, and individual events like table tennis, tennis, karate, swimming, taekwondo, athletics, badminton, chess, and judo. The opening ceremony will take place on September 21 at the UNILAG Sports Centre, while the closing ceremony will be held on September 29 at the LASU Sports Complex.
