Gombe Indigene, Maryam Ibrahim Dan’Azumi, Wins First Place At King Abdulaziz International Qur’an Competition
Maryam Ibrahim Dan’Azumi, a native of GOMBE STATE, has won first place in the women’s Hizb 60 and Tafsir category at the King Abdulaziz International Qur’an Competition held in Makkah, SAUDI ARABIA.
Maryam represented NIGERIA at the international competition, which featured Qur’an reciters from different countries.

Her victory has become a source of pride for NIGERIA and GOMBE STATE, especially after securing first place in her category.
The achievement highlights the talent and dedication of Nigerian participants on the global stage and brings recognition to GOMBE STATE’s contribution to Islamic scholarship and Qur’anic memorization.
