The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has assured NYSC Members of adequate security and welfare during their service year. 

Myschoolnews gathered he assured the Corps Members of his Government's unwavering support, including regular payment of state allowances and plans to enhance the Orientation Camp's facilities, underscoring the commitment to providing a conducive environment for the NYSC program.

 

Furthermore, he reiterated the top priority placed on the security and well-being of the Corps Members, with the assurance that local government chairmen, corps employers, and other stakeholders in the state would prioritize their welfare, in accordance with the NYSC Act.

Senator Adeleke, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, at the closing ceremony of the 2023 Batch B Stream 2 Orientation Course, which held on Tuesday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, expressed special appreciation to the State Coordinator and the dedicated Camp Officials, acknowledging the challenges they faced and their unwavering commitment to realizing the NYSC's objectives, particularly in sensitizing and equipping graduate youths for their vital roles in nation-building.

 

Furthermore, the Governor encouraged Corps Members to embrace their postings with an open heart and a commitment to making a positive impact on their host communities. He emphasized that even remote places of assignment hold potential for development, drawing from the example of previous Corps Members who served there.

He also stressed the importance of respecting the culture and traditions of their host communities, urging integration, empathy, and unity by shedding ethnic and religious biases.
