Governor Sule and Stakeholders Hail Prof. Abdul Rahman as a Transformational Leader at FULafia Symposium
The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule, has hailed Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), calling him a transformational leader.
Sule spoke among many others who paid glowing praise to Abdul Rahman’s sterling leadership and his contributions to the University's development.
The occasion was the symposium organised by the Centre for Leadership Studies, FULafia, which took place at the MIS Multipurpose Hall.
Sule praised Abdul Rahman's exceptional leadership qualities, commitment to academic excellence, staff welfare and community engagement.
Represented by the Commissioner of Education, Dr John Mamman, the governor urged the incoming Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Muhammad Isa Kida, to emulate Abdul Rahman”s good works.
The event was attended by various stakeholders, including the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), who commended Abdul Rahman's commitment to staff welfare and academic excellence.
Many speakers described Abdul Rahman as a man of honour, reputation, integrity and a transformational leader, citing his huge success stories in transforming FULafia.
The symposium featured a keynote speech delivered by Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, the incoming deputy vice-chancellor (administration), who dissected Prof. Abdul Rahman's transformational leadership style and legacy.
Prof. Abdul Rahman, represented by incoming deputy vice-chancellor (Academic Affairs), Prof. Ilemona Adofu, attributed Abdul Rahman’s achievements to the support and collaboration of staff and students.
