Greenwich Foundation has successfully renovated Ransome Kuti Grammar School in Yaba, Lagos, as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and providing quality school infrastructure. The inauguration ceremony showcased the significant improvements made to the school's facilities.

Erelu Adebayo, Chair of the Greenwich Foundation, highlighted the importance of Ransome Kuti Memorial Junior & Senior Grammar School as a beacon of hope and education. During her speech, she unveiled the newly renovated facilities, which include fresh paint for classrooms, replaced ceiling fans and lighting, a renovated food shed, interlocking of the school’s backyard, and exterior painting of both junior and secondary schools.

Adebayo expressed gratitude to Lagos State and contributing partners, including Greenwich Merchant Bank, Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions, and Greenwich Trustees, for their invaluable support in the renovation project.

Yewande Akomolede, Programme Coordinator at Greenwich, noted that the renovation process began last year with the reconstruction of 66 toilets for both junior and senior secondary schools. “We recognize that providing clean and functional restrooms is essential for the well-being and comfort of pupils,” Akomolede stated.

Dr. Yusuf Ajoke, Tutor General and Permanent Secretary, commended the efforts of the Greenwich Foundation, stating that the upgrades to the school facilities would greatly enhance the quality of learning and academic outcomes for students.

The headteacher, along with teachers and students, expressed their gratitude to the foundation and pledged to maintain the newly upgraded facilities.
