Federal University Otuoke Appoints Andabi Benita Amangi-Edomo as Substantive Registrar
Bayelsa State-born Andabi Benita Amangi-Edomo becomes Federal University Otuoke's first female Registrar, bringing over 20 years of university administration experience to the role.
The Governing Council of Federal University Otuoke has approved the appointment of Mrs. Andabi Benita Amangi-Edomo as the institution's Substantive Registrar, effective September 20, 2024. Mrs. Amangi-Edomo emerged as the top candidate after a rigorous selection process involving five applicants.
The Governing Council of Federal University Otuoke, at its 22nd meeting held on September 20, 2024, approved Mrs. Amangi-Edomo's appointment, following the recommendation of the Council Search Committee.
Mrs. Amangi-Edomo holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Port-Harcourt. She began her career in university administration in 2004 at Niger Delta University and joined Federal University Otuoke in 2012.
Prior to her appointment, Mrs. Amangi-Edomo served as Deputy Registrar since 2018 and Special Assistant to the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Teddy C. Adias, and his predecessor, Prof. Seth Acrra Jaja.
As the first female Registrar of the University, Mrs. Amangi-Edomo's achievement marks a significant milestone for Federal University Otuoke. A native of Bayelsa State, she is happily married and enjoys reading, playing volleyball, farming, and watching wildlife documentaries.
