Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State, has announced that it will hold its 14th Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted students on Saturday, 28th February 2026, at the Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium on campus.

The event is set to commence at 11:00 a.m. and will formally induct fresh students into the university for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The ceremony is being hosted under the authority of the Proprietor, Chancellor, Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, and Congregation of Gregory University. The Chief Host of the occasion is Chief Gregory Okechukwu Ibe, Chancellor of Gregory University, while the Host is the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cele U. Njoku.

The Special Guest of Honour will be Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.

Arrangements for the event are being coordinated by Professor Uwaoma Kalu Uche, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and Chairman of the Matriculation Planning Committee, with key support from the Registrar, Maliki A. Vincent.

Members of the university community, parents, guardians, and invited guests are expected to attend the ceremony, which marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of the new students.
