Gunmen Kidnap Provost of School of Nursing in Imo State
Gunmen have kidnapped Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Duru, the Provost of the School of Nursing in Mgbirichi, Imo State, during an incident that occurred around 6 PM on Thursday along Abakuru Mgbirichi road in the Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area.

In a shocking incident, gunmen have kidnapped Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Duru, the Provost of the School of Nursing, Mgbirichi, Imo State. The abduction occurred around 6 PM on Thursday along the Abakuru Mgbirichi road in the Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area, triggering widespread panic and anxiety within the community.
Dr. Duru, who previously served as the Provost of the Imo State School of Nursing Sciences in Orlu, was reportedly kidnapped alongside her driver and a young girl. Fortunately, the kidnappers later released the driver, but the young girl remains in their custody.
Valentine Aligo, the Director of Socials at Princess School of Nursing Mgbirichi, confirmed the incident, stating that the school has reported the matter to the local police station. However, Police Public Relations Officer Henry Okoye has yet to provide any comments on the situation.
