HURIWA Hails NYSC on Youth Empowerment, Pledges More Support to Scheme

The Human Rights Writers Association (HURIWA) has commended the National Youth Service Corps for its roles in empowering Corps Members with relevant skills that would make them self-reliant.
It also described the Scheme as a symbol of national unity that must be given the maximum support in order to consolidate on its achievements.
The Chairman, HURIWA, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko disclosed this when he paid a courtesy visit to the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha'u Dogara Ahmed in his office at the National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja.
He said the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme has reduced the number of unemployed graduates, adding that HURIWA would continue to partner the Scheme to record greater achievements in in its activities.
Myschoolnews reports in his response, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha'u Dogara Ahmed appreciated HURIWA for its steadfastness in speaking out the truth and staying on the right path of issues concerning national development.
He also charged the association to sustain the good work it is doing in the country especially in the area of fundamental human rights of Nigerians.
The DG promised that the Scheme would sustain the already established goodwill shared with HURIWA.
