Inauguration of Corps Camp Directors, SC Special Squad, and Constitution of Camp Court
Six Corps members have been appointed as Corps Camp Directors and State Coordinator Special Squad members to assist in the administration of the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi.
Six Corps members have been appointed as Corps Camp Directors and State Coordinator Special Squad members to assist in the administration of the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi. The selected Corps members, chosen for their strong leadership qualities, are expected to oversee various camp activities and represent their peers effectively.
Eze Advantage (NS/24B/2781), Idris Bilal Bala (FC/24B/3981), and Eze Onyiyechi Cynthia (FC/24B/7368) have been appointed as Corps Camp Directors, serving from 31st August to 17th September, 2024. Additionally, Ekpenyong Patience Edet (NS/24B/2566), Vitoesi Dorcas Oluwakemi (NS/24B/2378), and Badamosi Ahmed Onimisi (FC/24B/6253) were selected as members of the State Coordinator Special Squad, tasked with acting as intermediaries between Camp Management and Corps members.
During the inauguration, Mrs. Salamatu Muhammad, the State Coordinator of NYSC Nasarawa State, addressed the Corps members, urging them to cooperate with the newly appointed leaders. She emphasized the importance of teamwork and communication, stating, "These Corps members have been appointed to bring management closer to you as Corps members. They would be mentored on leadership roles. To ensure success, they would need your understanding and cooperation. If you have suggestions, feel free to channel your concerns and complaints through them. Together, we would work to ensure that your stay on camp is made easier."
In a related development, Mrs. Salamatu Muhammad also announced the constitution of the camp court. This court, comprising the Camp Director Mrs. Margaret Ndem, the NYSC Legal Officer, the Camp Commandant, the Head of Police, Man O War, and two Corps lawyers, was established to maintain discipline within the camp. The State Coordinator stressed the importance of discipline and warned Corps members to avoid actions that might lead them before the court.
