In a move aimed at strengthening campus security operations, the Institute for Strategic Development Communication (ISDEVCOM), Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, donated security gate passes to the University’s Security Unit through the Vice-Chancellor.

The presentation was made during a brief ceremony at the University, where the Acting Director of ISDEVCOM, Dr. Daniel Chikada, explained that the initiative was designed to improve vehicle monitoring and access control within the campus environment. According to him, the intervention is intended to enhance identification processes for vehicles and motorcycles entering and exiting the institution.
He further stated that the donation aligns with broader efforts to strengthen internal security architecture and ensure the safety of staff, students, and visitors across the University community.
Receiving the items on behalf of Management, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, expressed appreciation to ISDEVCOM for what she described as a timely and practical contribution to the institution’s security framework.
She commended the Institute for complementing the University’s ongoing security efforts and encouraged other departments and stakeholders to support similar initiatives that enhance safety and operational efficiency on campus.
The Vice-Chancellor also reiterated that security remains a core priority of the current administration, noting that collaborative interventions such as this strengthen institutional resilience and create a more conducive academic environment.

The initiative underscores ISDEVCOM’s continued role in supporting institutional development beyond its core communication mandate, particularly in areas that directly impact campus safety and administration.
