Kaduna State University Launches Tree Nurturing and Adoption Campaign

The Green KASU Stability Initiative at Kaduna State University (KASU) has launched a tree nurturing and adoption campaign, themed “Fight Climate Change, Nurture a Tree.”

The event, held on May 28, 2025, brought together dignitaries, students, and environmental stakeholders to promote tree planting and care.

The campaign aims to promote environmental sustainability, combat climate change, educate students and the community on tree care and importance, and encourage community engagement and tree adoption. Keynote speakers emphasized the significance of tree planting and care, highlighting the economic, social, and environmental benefits of trees.

The event concluded with a practical tree-planting activity, where participants planted trees and took photographs to commemorate the occasion.

The campaign is expected to make a significant impact on environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation efforts in the region.
