Kaduna State University Redefines Student-Centeredness through Thrilling Basketball Match

A wave of excitement engulfed Kaduna State University as the Basketball Coach, in collaboration with the Sports Directorate, orchestrated a riveting basketball showdown between the Kaduna and Kafanchan campuses on the 19th of December 2023, held at the main campus.

The inaugural clash unleashed a display of fierce competition, showcasing the remarkable skills of both teams in an electrifying atmosphere. The contest remained deadlocked at 49 – 49 in regulation time, setting the stage for an adrenaline-pumping two-minute overtime period. In a dramatic turn of events, Kaduna Main Campus clinched victory with a final score of 50 – 49, sealing a spectacular win.

 

Bakut Joseph Amai, the Administrative Secretary to the Vice Chancellor of KASU, and the Basketball Coach expressed delight with the match's outcome. He highlighted the pivotal role of such sporting events in fostering unity among the university's diverse campuses. Amai emphasized the significance of these activities in cultivating a vibrant sports culture, aligning seamlessly with KASU's overarching objective of prioritizing a student-centered environment.
