KASU-VC defends the 2024 budget at the Kaduna State House of Assembly

On Thursday, the 21st of December 2023, the Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, defended the 2024 budget estimate before the House Committee on Education at the Assembly complex.

Chairman of the Committee, Barr. Mahmoud Lawal said the deliberation is part of the oversight function of the Legislature to take submission for addition, reduction, or adjustment.

In his submission, Prof. Musa made a request for the provision of expenditure for two new programmes namely; Engineering and Law to facilitate their seamless takeoff. This shows commitment to achieving excellence in teaching, research culture, and improving physical infrastructure among the focal areas of the university's strategic plan.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Bursar, Hajiya Hauwa Dalhat and the Deputy Registrar (Establishment), Dr. Obadiah Joshua.
