Kano Varsity Pro-Chancellor Appointed as ABU VC

Professor Adamu Ahmed, the current pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing council of The Federal University of Education, Kano , has been appointed as the new vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello university (ABU).This announcement was made during the 209th (special) council meeting, which took place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Professor Adamu Ahmed, currently serving as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Kano, has now taken on a new role at ABU. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at ABU Zaria, Professor Ahmed was chosen from a pool of 14 contenders for this prestigious position.

His remarkable contributions to academia and his exceptional leadership skills have earned him widespread recognition. Colleagues and students alike have lauded his appointment, anticipating positive changes and continued academic excellence under his stewardship.
