Mrs. Victoria Abosede Wickliffe Assumes Office as UNILAG Registrar

Mrs. Victoria Abosede Wickliffe has officially taken up the role of Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Her appointment, which became effective on February 1, 2025, marks a new chapter in the institution’s administrative leadership.

This appointment followed the approval of the UNILAG Governing Council during its meeting on December 6, 2024. The decision was made under the leadership of the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN. Wickliffe’s official assumption of office was marked by a special session on Monday, February 3, 2025, where faculty and staff gathered at the Office of the Registrar, located on the 5th Floor of the UNILAG Senate House, to welcome her.

Before this new appointment, Mrs. Wickliffe served as the Deputy Registrar and Acting Director of Academic Affairs at UNILAG, bringing extensive experience to her new role. She succeeds Mrs. Olakunle Esther Makinde, who had been serving as Acting Registrar since August 1, 2024.

Mrs. Wickliffe’s tenure as Registrar is set for a period of five years, and she is expected to continue steering the University towards greater academic excellence and operational efficiency.
