Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University Library Clinches Best Innovative Library Award in Kano
The University Library of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano, has been proudly recognised as the Best Innovative Library by the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Kano State Chapter. The award was presented during the Association’s Dinner and Award Night held on Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025.
This recognition reflects the university library's steady progress in embracing modern technology, improving access to information and creating a friendly and supportive learning environment for students and researchers.
The award was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, who attended the event alongside the University Librarian, Malam Nazir Muhammad. Professor Garba expressed his gratitude to the NLA for acknowledging the university’s efforts, noting that the award is a clear encouragement to keep pushing for excellence.
Malam Nazir Muhammad also appreciated the recognition, describing it as a reward for the teamwork and dedication of the library staff, as well as the consistent support and encouragement of the university management. He noted that both the staff and the management work hand in hand to keep the library vibrant, innovative and student-centered.
This milestone adds to the growing reputation of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University as an institution committed to quality education, innovation and continuous improvement.
