Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University to Host Monthly Lecture Series and Commemoration

Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), in collaboration with the International Institute of Qur'anic Science (IIQS), will host a monthly lecture series and commemorate the 7th anniversary of the passing of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu.

The event, scheduled for May 31, 2025, at the Alh. Aminu Alhasan Dantata Auditorium, will feature a guest speaker, Prof. Saleh Ahmad Abulfathi from the Department of Arabic Studies, University of Maiduguri. The theme of the lecture is "Exploring the Miraculous Nature of the Qur'an: Definition, Objectives, and Types."

The event will be chaired by Emeritus Prof. Muhammad Sani Zaharaddeen, Chief Imam of Kano and BOT Chairman of KHAIRUN. Other notable participants include Prof. Sani Musa Ayagi and Dr. Warshu Tijjani Rabiu as discussants.

The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, will serve as the Chief Host, while Professor Yakubu Yunusa Musa, Director of IIQS, will host the event. The lecture is expected to attract scholars, researchers, and students interested in exploring the miraculous nature of the Qur'an.
