Kwara State University (KWASU) has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for six postgraduate and twelve undergraduate programmes.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to Kwara State University (KWASU) for 18 academic programmes, including six postgraduate and twelve undergraduate courses. This accreditation, valid for a period of five years, marks a significant milestone for the institution.

Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, announced the development in a statement on Wednesday. The accreditation follows the October/November 2023 round of academic programme assessments by the NUC.

According to the letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, dated June 6, 2024, and signed by the Acting Director of Accreditation, Mr. Abraham Chundusu, the accredited programmes span diverse fields.

Prof. Jimoh lauded the achievement, attributing it to the dedication of KWASU's management and staff. He also acknowledged the pivotal support provided by the Kwara State Government and the Ministry of Tertiary Education during the accreditation process.
