The management of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has taken disciplinary action against a male student allegedly involved in an inappropriate skit. The skit, which surfaced recently, featured the student making inappropriate contact with female students, prompting swift action from the university authorities.

Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, announced on Wednesday that the student's portal has been disabled as an initial punitive measure. This action is pending the outcome of an investigation by the Student Disciplinary Committee.

“The skits do not reflect the values of our institution or the ethical orientation of the larger number of KWASU students,” stated Dr. Aliyu. “KWASU prides itself on producing graduates who excel both in character and learning, and we have zero tolerance for any form of indiscipline.”

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman directed the immediate disabling of the student’s portal, emphasizing the university's commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.

The university management assures the public that further actions will be determined based on the findings of the Student Disciplinary Committee.
