Lagos Corps Members Urged to Pursue Moral Chastity
Corps members deployed to Lagos State to observe the one year mandatory national service have been told during an Integrity Talk, at the ongoing 2023 batch "B" Stream I Orientation course in Iyana-Ipaja Camp, to pursue moral chastity, and rid themselves off delinquencies.

Myschoolnews reports the Integrity Talk which was carried out along gender lines dwelt on discipline, honesty and uprightness.
Speaking to the male corps members, the Deputy Camp Director for the Course, Mr. Gabriel Unachukwu said it is important to talk to the corps members given the situation our society is now headed. He advised them to stay true to themselves, avoid acts that poses threat to them or inimical to their future.
Also, Alhaji Wasiu Adebayo, Head of Security, said Integrity is honesty, discipline, uprightness. He added that it is steadfastness in a set of rules and principles governing a society. He said the talk is important because of the immoral acts rampant in our society. He advised them to shun the use of drugs, internet fraud and avoid joining the bandwagon to engage in immoral acts. Alhaji Adebayo concluded that they avoid acts that may soil their family's name buy to build it and build theirs too.
Also, Mr Aaron Olonikadi has advised the corps members to dress appropriately, stressing that no employer would employ them if they are not properly dressed.
Meanwhile, the Camp Commandant, Major OO Odunmbaku, has said the corps members must be disciplined if they must progress in life. He said as young men, they must be disciplined to be able to manage their homes.
In the female section, it was a different form of talk as discussions came off as encouragement and subtle chastisement to embrace good living.
In a motherly manner, the Camp Director for the batch, Mrs Oluwakemi Awolola has advised the corps members to not be quiet as regards their addiction as there is a need to break off from every form of addiction and commit to serving God during the service year.
The Camp Director also instructed the corps members to speak out if ever faced with sexual advances or harassment from employers at their various places of work.
Also addressing the corps members, Mrs Itohan Ehimwenma emphasized the need for the women to cultivate and have a personal relationship with God, who is our creator and master to whom we must give account. Speaking on women living, she said all women must adhere to cleanliness, comportment, courtesy and consideration. She however advised the female corps members to be cautious and patient when choosing a life partner and also advised them to keep their bodies as well.
In the same vein, Mrs Victoria Akowonlehin, Head of Accommodation, has advised them to avoid the intent to "dress to kill" but to dress decently especially when reporting to work. She encouraged them to shine as light wherever they are and avoid sowing discord wherever they find themselves.
Mrs Beatrice Fayinto has added they respect others while respecting themselves too. She encouraged them to be reliable in their dealings, being of good behaviour as doors of opportunities can be opened to them through that. She warned them to be careful around issues of accommodation offered them during service year.
Mrs Ronke Odugbose, Head of Man "O" War, has hinted on the need for good carriage by women. She advised they avoid giving themselves out cheaply and use the Service year to plan for the next phase of their life.
